(What if) It's Really It.A Poem by C.J.G.More of my overwhelming thoughts of him put into a poetic structure... I apologize. What if this is it? I mean, really it? The kind that you read about in romance novels And see on the big screen? The kind that weaken your mind and opens your heart? The kind that only fairy tales can endure until you’ve truly fallen? What if we are meant to be together Until death do us part? Have I found the person that is the counter point to my soul? The long lost that I have now found? Or what if it is just young love? That love that is described in click-flicks and teen TV shows? What if it’s just lust and desire that every first love is accompanied by? But can’t young love last? Last until your dying wish? Last through the journey we call living? Last through the life we have always dreamt about. My heart is a song, and every time I see your face It sings the chorus. How can this not be it? That real it? My body melts from the slightest whisper of his name, How can this not be it? My heart races from the sight of his eyes, How can this not be it? My mind sores over the wonders of possibilities, How can this not be it? He says it is forever, I could lie here with your forever. So what if this is it? I mean, really it? © 2010 C.J.G.Reviews
