(That) Scar(s).

(That) Scar(s).

A Poem by C.J.G.
"

How to survive when all has gone stray?

"

We’ve cross paths and left footprints on each other’s

            Hearts.

We’ve listened to the words we feel and exposed

            Everything.

We had moments where the world just seemed to melt

            Away.

But all those moments have now gone stray.

I look back to see if we will cross again; I’ve turned a

            Blind corner.

The now, the footprints have become deeper and almost

            Painful.

I have moments where the world smothers my entire

            Body.

And now I can’t seem to catch my breath.

It’s been months, but the mark is still inscribe on my

            Heart.

I’ve tried everything to cover up the scar, but it is

            Permanent.

A perpetual reminder that has awoken a monster that lives in

            Me.

Someone please tell me how to survive,

When all those moments have now gone astray,

and I can't seem to catch my breath.

I think the use of scar is a little bit on the cliche side, but since you write with beautiful words, I guess it's alright. I especially like the last three lines because they've left the greatest mark on me. Your piece is a sentimental read that surely touches the heart.

Keep Writing. ^___^

Excellent. I like the structure of this poem, it make the words themselves easy to look at and easy to read. I like how very honest this piece is. Beautifully written.
