Restless

Restless

A Poem by Matt M.

I don't know whats real anymore
I lay awake most nights
With pondering thoughts
And regrets from the past
Thinking of things that will be
Or things that may be only
Of an uneventful future
Of a regretful past full of mistakes
The only thing to put them out
Are the bottles of pills
In my table side drawer
That droops my eyes
Into a dreamless sleep
