One in a million

One in a million

A Story by Matt M.

I'm standing still at the center of the world. Hundreds of people walk by and nobody stands out. They're like clones from a Sci-Fi movie. Walking in the same direction and doing the same motions. If I choose to walk with them, then I'd be one of them. However I'm not one of them. I chose to walk against them. Bumping shoulders as I squeeze by, I continue forward.
As I continued to walk, I soon come to realize I'm all alone. Nobody to go with me. No one to walk with me, to change this strange world.
Suddenly I'm at a stand still. In front of me is a gorgeous young lady. Long ,brown , flowing hair and nice brown eyes like an oak tree. We stare eye to eye. No words were spoken. Then all of a sudden she takes my hand and begins to pull me in the opposite direction of the other people. There I was one second alone and the next with a beautiful women. Walking hand in hand against the crowd for all eternity.
