Cupped HandsA Poem by Mary E GreenTears, liquid pain in every drop-they do not seem to want to stop. There is no going back from whence they come. Caressing the arch of your nose and kissing your chin as they fall. Silently drifting, yet the most powerful lanuage of them all.
A generous escape from the turmoil within, you discover sweet relief in this surrender. Your will bows to the strength that has been preserved for far too long.
With this release, your lips part softly and a breath too escapes. You have let it go and it is no longer yours to protect. Indeed, these cascading tears have been recieved into the cupped hands of life and graciously taken away.
