My family, the reason this house is a home. Home- a state of mind, our sanctuary in this life, the rest to the weary, the soothing of the broken-hearted. A warm cup of tea, a satiated belly, the embrace of your favorite blanket...
...Yes, it may withstand the markings of all the comings & goings- the creaky floor, the picture just a bit off center, the fingerprints of those who find comfort & solace within its walls. No matter- for what is a home but these very things?
No, no- not a house but a home to those who enter with love & peace in their hearts. Home Sweet Home
and there is a difference... I have existed in houses and lived in homes. Speaking of which, I will be nurturing mine today (a term I use for sweeping, dishes, cleaning, etc. Much of the drudgery leaves when I think of housework as nurturing my home.
