The Great City

The Great City

A Poem by Byroneus

The Great City

The Great City and its strong fortress reach high into the sky

Seen for miles around

The tall minarets shinning in silvers and gold’s

Yet dull in luster, next to the great tower with crystal crown

Reflecting the suns light all around

On its walls and towers the banners of its Dread Champions billow

To encourage the wayfaring on their way

To strike fear in the enemies heart

The Great City in all its glory

Yet just a shadow to the King

            And His Great Glory
