Sweet Misery

Sweet Misery

A Poem by byronabelband

(C)twenty four hours (C7)in a day
(F)twenty four hours (C)since I drank
twenty four hours of (D7)sweet, sweet
(G7)sweet misery(C) (F) (C)

seven days, in a week
seven days, since I had a drink
seven days of sweet, sweet, sweet misery

(A7)My hands are shaking (D7)my knees are weak
(A7)My bodies aching baby (D7)I cant sleep
(A7)Oh Lord have mercy, have (D7)mercy on (C)me

thirty days, in a month
thirty days, since I got drunk
thirty days of sweet, sweet, sweet misery

twelve months, in a year
twelve months, since I had a beer
twelve months I just now, just now, became clear
