I Could Have Loved A Little More

I Could Have Loved A Little More

A Poem by byronabelband

(D)spoken: An old man was passing me bye one day in the park,
He said sad days are comming as he (A)sat down beside to (D)rest. He said I looked

through the ages and (A)found its always (D)best
To be (G)kind to your neighbors (D)help out a stranger (A)give to those lonely and (D)poor
(G)one day youll be eighty and (D)think ah, maybe I (A)could have loved a little (D)more

He said I learned as a child that (A)some folks look
wild and (D)free. Their always on the run and (A)having more fun than (D)me.
But as (G)time it goes on their (D)fun it is gone and (A)lonliness falls at their (D)feet.
So, be (G)kind to your neighbors (D)help out a
stranger (A)give to those lonely and (D)poor
(G)one day youll be eighty and (D)think ah, maybe I
(A)could have loved a little (D)more

Now some folks are jaded, their light has faded in life. Their days are long and lonliness fills

their night. And theres no one to love them and no one to hug them, no one to care if they

die. So, be kind to your neighbor....
