short poem

Once upon a time,

I had no reason to cry.

Time has passed, now,

I paint myself black

for all those times I've been stabbed,

so that you'd take a step back.

I am not important,

I'm not even funny, 

I am not interested,

so please, walk right through me.

by the title, I'm getting the sense that you're wanting to say "I'm not interesting", but saying "I'm not interested" adds some intriguing depth to it, and I just want to know what you're intention was. Because holy mole!! This stabbed and it cut deep. Well done.

Thank you :) .. yeah, it was about a time in my life when I got hurt and didn't want to meet anyone new for the fear of getting hurt again, so I basically pretended not to exist. These last lines weren't exactly meant to be self-deprecatory even though they do feel that way, instead they are more like a defense wall, if that makes any sense. I am so sorry, I don't know how to explain it better. Thank you very much for your review. :)
