Call it what you want

Call it what you want

A Story by Unknown with a Clouded Judgement

People say we should express how we feel, show them, let the whole world know

exactly whats running through our minds, why we're happy, sad, angry, ecstatic,

depressed, but i don't think showing people what we feel helps at all if what

you feel, only makes things worse. We struggle day to day with the fact that

the ones we love are the ones we don't want to tell. We go to counselors,

psychologists, physiologists, people with an educated opinion on why we are

feeling what we feel. Many just say we're depressed. We're depressed because

we're sad somebody died or left, we're sad because we didn't get the right

Christmas present or the most up to date phone, we're depressed. They believe

the only solution to curing your depression is to give you drugs. They

encourage you to rely on pills to keep you happy.

What good does that even do?

We tell ourselves that this little white pill is the thing that keeps you

going, day by day, that keeps things from falling apart...

You've already fallen apart.

That pill is as much as an illusion as seeing Ronald McDonald deep frying

chicken at KFC.

We are stuck in this pit of sadness, labelled by depression, cured by a pill.

Yet, when one is addicted to pills, or drugs of any form, you're frowned upon.

Something is wrong with you. They tell you that the little pill among many

others in the big bottle is the only thing that will keep you happy.

Then they tell you that drugs are bad.

So now we're depressed and doing bad things?

You're damaging the minds of a fruitful youth with the perception of drugs and

how we must rely on them to keep us happy, yet if you saw a teenager dropping

a pill at a party, that wouldn't be okay. Now the teenagers confused because

you say it's okay to drop a pill in their house, all alone, but it’s wrong to

drop a pill in someone else’s house, with people around. You say the youth are

misbehaving adolescence, that don't listen, and all they do is party. But you're

the one who tells them just because they're sad it means they're depressed.

Just because you're depressed means you can have a pill. That it's

okay, because somebody's legally making money out of it. And in the end, you

are making money out of it. You're the drug dealer with a license. And we're

the misbehaving adolescence whose parents can't control us.
