A Poem by Ray Hamilton

Wish Upon A Star

As I look up, to my delight
Stars are shining bright tonight
Should I wish upon this falling star
Oh my sweet love, tell me where you are

The moon shines gently through the trees
Theres no other place, I would rather be
I know theres a sweet love, some where for me
I just haven't found you, can't you see

Smiling face, eyes that sparkle so bright
Are you looking everywhere for me tonight
Don't be shy, please don't hide
For I will stand there, right by your side

Ever so gently, I shall hold your hand
I'd be oh so proud, to be your loving man
I long to find an honest loving wife
That will love me, for the rest of my life

Ray this is one of those things that when you read you just cant help but smile.. What a delightful plea to the heavens
that sparkle almost as bright as this beautiful rendering of your heart.
Truly enjoyed my friend

I could swear that these words are words of a "so called" poet...but since you refuse that title...HEHE...I like this a lot and I believe we all look for the very thing you are searching for my friend...no matter how hurtful it is...this love thing is our addiction! And I can hardly wait to get my fix!

Great write!

You can tell me you're not a poet all you want, but this poem tells me otherwise.

Well written from start to finish, good pace and wonderful ending

Good job my friend
