Cat's are great pets

Cat's are great pets

When kittens they are, so cuddly and cute
They will pee just any where, and won't give a hoot

When trained, will go in a litter box they say
Then with your curtains and phone cord, they will play

Yes they will chew on your phone cord, and even your curtains
Of this fact and many others, I'm Very certain

A female cat, you must have fixed right away
Or every tom cat in town, will be at your house to play

Yes take over your house, as they scamper and play
You will pick up after these fur balls, - like children each day

You will never have mice, or rodents of any kind
If you can keep the cats, from driving you out of your mind

Then you wake up in your bed one day, - and the cats eating a frog
Me personally, - I think its time to get a dog !!

Why would someone give a name to an animal,
that won't come when you call it?

lmao Im personally a cat person
as they say and it is so true
Dogs have masters Cat have
servants ... I need the challenge
only a cat offers. They have an
attitude to match mine so it ends
up being a battle of the wills...
So what if I lose LOL.
Loved this

This was so cute Ray. Thank you for the link. My Tinker is about twelve years old now. Would be lost without her hair balls and all. LOL Hope to see you here again soon. Blessings, Lesa

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes! They have 'ignorance' down to a fine art...and the saying; dogs have masters, cats have slaves...is so true. They are finnicky eaters, you can serve them up Fillet Mignon and they will turn their nose up at it, stretch themselves and walk off!
Good one Ray...

This is why I now own a dog and no cats! Although I have to put blinders on to avoid coming home with a kitten. And I would like to let you know that my old friend Jack the cat would always come when his name was called...but he wasnt the typical cat after all...he was a dog trapped in a cats body.

I like the poem. I am an avid lover of animals, especially cats and dogs. I had cats at my home. I had written one story, Back Home, on my beloved cat, Kaloo. What you wrote are very much familiar to me.

It is true, rather than giving them a name call them family!

Thank you for sharing.

I like your thought on this one, I am a dog person myself.

I do see on nit in your poem, you have it I'am when it should read either I am or I'm, I think.

In the end maybe they are just too independent to be pets. The truth is they may be the only animals that make pets out of us.
