Mystical Love At Sea

These old tall ships, how romantic they seem
Sails blowing in the wind, look how this old wood gleams

Sailors are in love with their ships, how can this be
The captain is so much in love, he calls this ship she

Some say within these walls, a mystical lady lives, soon you will see
For tonight from these walls, her eyes will be looking down at thee

They say I drank to much rum, and that very well may be
Last night I could have sworn, this sailing beauty made love to me

Down from these old walls, she seemed to just glide
I am telling you, she gently floated, right down by my side

This beautys hands, passionate and soft, like silk they did seem
She caressed my whole body, then she made sweet love to me

In disbelief I shut my eyes, I swear this is no lie
When the night was all over, she was gone, not even a goodbye

With anticipation I wait, for that magical night to come again
For this mystical lady in the ship, I have fallen in love with, my friend

Land lover no longer I will be, now I sail this ship,
for I am her captain, way out here at sea
I will always love this mystical lady, who each night,
makes magical sweet love to me

Mystical love at sea

Wow! This is a really good love poem! It's a great way to describe the captain's love for his ship
or maybe a beautiful ghostly lady was visiting the captian every night. A she who could not
exist apart from the ship. Maybe she and the ship are one and the same! Anyway, very beautifully
written poem! Its so musical the way you wrote it!

That is a great poem, Ray, and the way you formatted the poem really does compliment it.

I enjoyed the creativeness and the imagery. I love the sea and boats. There is definitely something luring and addictive about being off land and one with the elements. Good write.

This is a beautiful poem of lore and mystic romance. I also like how
you added pictures to this, which adds more creativity to the poem.
Nice job...AD

Weii, while I would like to compliment you on your refreshing honesty on your motto (not a poet. . .), would be lying, as I do enjoy your delightful and often quite insightful (oops poet and didn't know it) poetry from you, the poet.

Best wishes,
Tom

Well, Ray, you certainly have a way with words~ This is a mystical and
magical piece of poetry flowing like a fine sea mist from the
mysterious deep blue waves of love~I'd say you are very much the poet
~ perfect music to compliment your soft verse as well~WeLL DonE!~Fran Marie

I can understand why they call their ships a sea, it is because that is their living there one true love! I enjoyed this mysterious and passionate piece. I can say, when I am out in the sea, I am glad to come back to land, the sea is not my love...but I can understand how it can be too some!

Fantastic write dear...fantastic!

Ray my love of the sea was so stroked by your words.
I have always found the crashing waves to shore to hold
such power yet soothing all at the same time. I truly loved
this and am going back to read it again. Wonderful job
my friend.
