A Poem by Unclouded Eyes
"

How to conquer the fear of death.

"

I know your fear of dying

None have imparted a message

Of wisdom from beyond, silence

All graves of past friends lay still

Dead loved ones have not called.

So what will you do?

Try to drag the living with you

Any who give compassion to you

Should share your final moments

Your brittle clutching fingers grasping

While your own fear takes your mind.

For me there is peace as the end nears.

I left the race for riches long ago

It’s how you treat me, not your color

With the refusal of war came peace

Love showed me a different view

Fear was removed by Faith in purpose.

From birth all know there will be death

So belief in how to live must be the key

Forgive the faults of others their trying also

Stumbling over the traps set before them

What you see in others their faults reflect

You recognize them in yourself also

Understand these truths:

When you forgive others flaws,

You are forgiving yourself, your flaws.

Perfection in this world is a myth

Riches can only be held by the heart

These are the riches you take with you.

Love is the only path to peace on the other-side.
