Angels and Devils

Angels and Devils

A Poem by Unclouded Eyes
"

Uniqueness of humans

"

Angels are stuffy with syrupy goodness

Their self-deceit blinds them from you

Causes them to think they know you

Before they say, ‘Hello’ or ‘Good day’

Devils are all charm, seeking to confuse

If you name them, they become real

What you see, no secrets, just guile revealed

They don’t care if you’re good or bad, just fun.

But we have choice, our shield against both

We can change; pick who we will be

They don’t have this freedom, no choice

And there is the cause of the War, ‘freedom’

They love us and hate us for our freedom

Hating our ability to be good and do bad

Our freedom to make mistakes and amends

It drives them craze to watch our freedom.

I am man, human, placed above angels and devils

Given a power they covet, root of their sins

So if you wish to be more than good or bad

Rejoice for you are human, able to make mistakes.
