~mists and wanting

~mists and wanting

A Poem by Katherine Wyatt

There was fire on the waters as vast as our connection

under a slate gray sky glazed in cloud cover

as the thick summer air warmed us to glowing

Rippling across flaming light the rumbling of heat thunder

with such soft vapors mixed a delicate cocktail

of humidity fusion, blended with a feminine rain

A most sweet, and passionate potion

Sun steaming in bleeding pinks and crimson

as half a moon hanging in the sky refracted light

soft and shimmering through the watermist

witnessing a kiss, an embrace

as our bodies were wet and wanting there

I caught that moment

 wrapped it gently, enfolded it

in my spirit forever

    how ancient we are…

  how human

I am the song the trees whisper in the wind. I am the strength of the mighty mountains. I am the song of the birds in the morn. I am always being reborn. I am a traveler in and out of space and time... more..
