~within me .. without you

~within me .. without you

A Poem by Katherine Wyatt

Softly hold me within you
without those trappings around us
realities are dust I blow off your finger

We create rainbows of light and soft kisses
where wounds were, softening the scar tissue and I belong
only with you
you within me, me without you
eclipsing nights and days

I trace my finger over your picture
keeping it beneath my pillow where we meet in dreams
those fantasies we create to step into for respite
clothing ourselves in these moments
in one another’s armes
within me, and me without you
dreaming as you sleep
day dreams in your night

…. soft fragrance of magnolia and jasmine
wafts across the oceans between
as the pull of moon…
like the tides it rules pulls me from your arms
a reverie exquisite

You become a voice and pictures
less real than our liquid dreams

About
I am the song the trees whisper in the wind. I am the strength of the mighty mountains. I am the song of the birds in the morn. I am always being reborn. I am a traveler in and out of space and time... more..
