~madly in love with sunsets

A Poem by Katherine Wyatt

Madly in love with sunset
as glowing orb sits upon the waters
shimmering blood orange across ripping tidea
glowing between palm trees
falling in alizarin crimson behind
steeples and steel
filtering pinks and megentas through clouds
rippling across a wide sky yawning

Madly in love with sunsets
with your lips upon mine
the warmth that is creeping upon us
slowly as trees budding, green sprawling
creeping along the forest floor
deepens, thickening slowly
As we softly make love with life
...and one another

Madly in love with sunsets golden
glowing….
within our eyes
setting within
…only Us…
