POET

POET

A Poem by EMMIE

I PAINT PICTURES IN YOUR MIND
WITH COLORFUL SMOOTH TEXTURES
I AM A BOX OF CRAYONS
I CAN MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE
THE DEAD BECOME ALIVE
AND OBJECTS START TO MOVE
AND I CAN EVEN FLY
I AM A BUTTERFLY
I SPREAD MY WINGS
AND REACH FOR THE SKY
MY MIND GOES TO WONDERLANDS
I CAN TAKE YOU THERE
YES, YES I CAN!
REMEMBER?
I'M A POET!
NOW LET'S FLY!

Lovely, it never ceases to amaze me what beautiful images can be painted with words. And I really like the coloured words, I would never have thought of doing that.
