RETURN BURN STERN

FROM THE DUST WE CAME AND TO THE DUST WE SHALL RETURN

AND IN EVERLASTING FIRE WE'LL BURN

HE IS WAITING THERE WITH A LOOK SO STERN

WAITING FOR THE DAY WE SHALL RETURN

ON THAT DAY OUR SOULS WILL BE STOLEN TO BURN

AND HE WILL THROW THEM IN THE FIRE WITH A LOOK SO STERN

HAPPINESS WILL RUN AWAY AND NEVER RETURN

AND OUR HEARTS WILL BE COLD YET THEY WILL BURN

HE WILL SMILE WITH AN EVIL GRIN AND A LOOK SO STERN

WE WILL SHOUT AND ASK TO GO BACK BUT WE WILL NEVER RETURN

ON THAT DAY OUR SOULS WILL BE STOLEN TO BURN

HE WILL BE WAITING THERE WITH OPEN ARMS AND A  LOOK SO STERN

Powerful. Almost religious like. I may not be into the teachings but I have read the Bible and the same thing is described that evil men will be casted into the fire and the good will enter the gates of glory alongside him. When I read this, that was the first thing that popped into my head. Good poem and keep it up.

You know strange it might seem, but the first think that came into my mind was the name of the bool I came across while browsing in a book-store and its name was "SOUL-CATCHER".. and having said that, I think it is a very nice piece of work, with dark shades.. very different :)
