Just beyond repair

But I wonder, out of curiosity and clarification,
what does the BLACK represent in the second stanza?

Black is anything you want it to be. For me it means, you become a blind person, everything inside of you is blank or black you see nothing you become incoherent of the reality surrounding you. But whatever definition you have is fine too...it means whatever you want it to mean. Thanks!
