Persevere

Persevere

A Poem by Rayne

I’m tearing in two;

Being pulled

To and fro,

Up and down,

‘Round about,

In a circle of unending thoughts

And emotions

Of what to do’s and

Rights and wrongs;

Red Flags, cease your incessant wave!

For once, I’ve no wish

To see or hear your

Admonitions as your toll

Resonates against my very core.

I wish to throw my head back

In perfect abandon and just jump;

To feel free from your ever cautious

Grasp over me.

It’s inflexible,

Tenacious,

Obstinate possession,

Is unwarranted

At this precise moment.

Delectable,

Ambrosial,

Spicily exquisite;

Roll off my tongue to

Preach of adventures and

A wildness I crave to

Taste,

Feel,

Smell

And hear.

The titillation spontaneity holds

Plays an overwhelming tug of war

Of my disposition

Character

And morale;

So release me… Please!

Just this once, and

Let me fly free.

yes, my head hurts sometimes in weighing the "right" choice...it would be nice to just decide with no looking back or indecision

This was very well written. You really conveyed emotion to your reader, I felt a strong sense of urgency as the poem went on. Good job.
