~My Sad Clown~

~My Sad Clown~

A Poem by Rayne

My heart breaks with your sadness.

That hurt look upon your face;

Those blue eyes gazing back at me

With, “why weren’t you there for me?

Why did you allow it?

Am I unimportant?”

I wish with all I am

That I could go back and do it again.

To stand there with you,

For you!

To many factors played a part

All of which pale in comparison

Of my love for you.

You’re my little clown,

One I’m proud to have as a son.

The smiles you bring are contagious

And heartwarming, so unselfish

No sort of gain of your own

But to just bring forth a laugh.

So forgive me,

You’re so much smarter than I

In your young years.

Wipe your tears away

And smile till your eyes sparkle

Let me wrap my arms around you

So you may feel all the love I have

Radiate through and around you.

I love you my little clown.

Smile =-)
