InklingA Poem by RaynePen scribbled ink blots Mar and seep into wizened Hands in a flurry to produce Sustenance for the mind Lacking enlightenment Seeking otherworldly Protestations of simply…. Anything of worth Valued like tomes of old Crisp sheets lift and sway With wanting ‘Touch me Fill me Feed Me, you and I’s need’ Behold the heart of soul The art of vocabulary And the mixed ABC’s as Yesterday and tomorrows collide. I, flips through Looking for something unattainable Me, is complete with scribbles of worth Faces and moods merging like Coffee, creamer and heat You … Is You sated and content To leave well enough alone Don’t change a good thing It may come but once So ink is the obvious To choose the unchangeable The truly unforgettable YOU.
