Atropa Belladonna

Atropa Belladonna

A Poem by buterfligirl
"

A short poem

"

Oh, my Atropa Belladonna

You are all that I think about,

All that I want

Ever since I saw you in the forest,

I have longed for your embrace

You are all that's left in my world,

Everything else has abandoned me

I was all alone in this world,

But now I have you

Today I have decided,

I shall run away with you

Nothing else in this world matters to me,

I leave my life in your hands

My Atropa Belladonna

Aahhhhh....this poem's name caught my eye immediately, remembering that I used to grow it on an organic farm years ago.....

Lovely analogy with love, though it does carry a deadly undertone, even like a Shakesperian tragedy.
