ThornsA Poem by Butchy10
Been away for just a month
Feels like the world is gone Maybe for just this once You won't have me wait so long Thorns piercing through my skin The pain is what I need The blood and tears begin This payment for my greed Thorns of the deepest red Protruding through the light Thoughts of what's ahead You know that this ain't right You have no regret or guilt Penance is what you lack Can't you see what you've done You've left his heart to crack You've torn this gentle man Somehow ripped his soul He knows not happiness Without that heart you stole Thorns of the deepest red Protruding through the light Thoughts of what's ahead You know that this ain't right Tripping over untied laces This man does not care Watch the space between his fingers Notice how it's bare She sees her faults but much to late This man is now stone cold Waiting at this heavens gate His story's left untold © 2015 Butchy10Reviews
