An English rose among the thornsA Poem by Raspberries and Nuclear WarfareIambic Pentameter done for schoolShall your beauty be
rival to Venus The goddess would only
weep with envy You are a
constellation among stars Like a spirit dancing
through the spring air Enticing and utterly enchanting Your touch could drive
an atheist to church Flourish like a flower
in mid may rain And bloom in my arms
so I might hold you For one last night to cradle
my lost hopes For without your words
I would be nothing A hopeless pauper with
dreams of you If you were the moon
and I was the sun I would set ever night
just to watch you Glowing in the dusk your
radiance blinds But who could stray
their eyes, I would stare You, a bright and
shining light shall guide me Allure like
changing seasons, you astound Like reichenbach
vehemently I fall Carried together borne
to the future © 2013 Raspberries and Nuclear Warfare |
