Faith Today

One of the two religious geared poems from 2007/2008. Took out a stanza in 2011.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and permit the love of God to be said!
He gives you a test!

People should read the Bible,
these verses are not new.
But for ages,
 and now,it seems faith is slipping through
and fewer are turning the holy pages.

There may be a bit less stress,
if you watch what you say.
Stop using "can'ts",
and admit it's a "won't",
when excusing your lack of faith.

All of us are guilty,
and I must admit,
I've messed up quite a bit.
But I will ask for forgiveness of my sins.
I pray,
and hopefully I will get to Heaven someday.
