Goodbyes

Originally written on September 15, 2010 and was part of about 4 or 5 stanzas. Scrapped this part and slightly revised it.

As I say goodbye,

you smile that smile.

And I can feel my eyes light up.

The urge to embrace you

in a sweet goodbye

dissolves as quickly

as it manifested.

I stay faithfully by your side,

in friendship.

And enjoy every lovely second.
