H is for Honesty

You once asked me if I loved you,

I told you I didn't and you were gone,

nothing but the wind beneath my wings,

to keep me soaring above the rest of you.

The truth that I tell,

bold as a steel frame,

in which i cascade myselfover,

to have the strength of a god.

My tongue lashes the minds of my peers,

making sure to miantain their true stancein life,

never higher than my own head,

never lower then the words I speak;

for there is nothing more to lower now.

I believe you are the dirt I walk over everday,

you are the trash in my recepticle,

the the veins in my body that I cut every night,

severing all connections to the world.

You are everything I am,

so much more than me,

the cherry on top of an aweful day,

and yet you are still the warm embrace of a grizzly bear.

Without the evils you produce,

life would be quite dull and lonely,

and with these creations,

comes the most unbearable thoughts of all.

My heart once was captured by you,

and then torn from me,

one thing you can never take though,

is my honesty.
