Ode To Being FamousA Poem by DavidIn this I am a person who buckles under the pressure of being famousOde To Being Famous
I live in the spotlight of the media, always trying to please someone, anyone but myself it appears, I do what famous people do, I shop at all the hot stores, but things I don't need, date the wrong people for publicity, like I am controlled to do, like we all are, I have had enough, I am bored with it, I feel to powerful, people worship me, and for what, an autograph or a picture, I want to fly, go away from it all, shed this skin and grow feathers as tall as the clouds, and then I am blinde by another flash, it never ends, but I'll make it end, one way or another, at home I fnid the gin, and run to get the pills, how they dance around in my hand, throwing my head back, they fall, washed away in a flash, and I laugh at the world, if only they knew the pain I am in, thats why I leave this letter, telling them of the experience, you'll find me curled up, fetus position with a tear still in my eye, but with a grin on my face, knowing I am me now, knowing that I can fly. © 2008 DavidAuthor's Note
