Nickels

Nickels

A Poem by David
"

Everything should be a nickel, for that is all I have in my pocket.

"

Nickels

So what,

I would like coffee to be a nickel,

but sadly it is not,

a lot of things aren't,

not even water costs a nickel.

You could try,

I doubt they will take your pitty money though,

your meager and hollow piece of silver,

it is all about he green,

you know wht I am saying,

the benjamins and the washingtons.

Is it not true how we all want,

the things we cannot have,

I hear there is a firesale,

on warbonds that is,

they are only a nickel,

unfortunately they do not quench your tastebuds,

like a single drop of blood.
