A dull landscape

A dull landscape

A Poem by David
"

I found this cool picture, now all I have to do is put a poem to it.

"

A rainy day it is,

sitting alone again,

my normal schedule for a tuesday.

The slash from the heavens blurs the view,

fortunately there is nothing beyond,

all is a dull landscape.

The chair I sit in is weak,

like everything else in this house,

aged with violence and the remnants of a sad beginning.

The thunder now,

gives a deafening blow,

my ears quaking in the aftermath.

The lighting is exhilerating,

it lights up the sky,

time slows and I can see the rain.

It hits the ground in such a crash,

I am just one drop in a rain storm,

but so are you.

We are to fall upon a dull landscape,

seep into the earth only once,

and flower the fields for the future.

I like it, it's quite clever. I especially liked the line "The slash from heaven blur the view". It just hit me. Good job!
