About a man

Once upon a time there was a man and that man was a very negative man. He didn’t see any joy in life and found it useless. So one day he decided that he didn’t want to live anymore and that he will jump off a bridge and die. Later that day he went to a bridge, with the intention that he will jump off and die. When he got there it wasn’t dark yet and because he didn’t want anyone to see him he decided to wait until the sun would go down and no one would be able to see him. As he waited watching the cars pass by he started thinking about his life. He thought about how he had a wonderful childhood and loving parents that he hasn’t seen in years. He thought about how he lived as a child in comparison with how he lives now. He thought about how he found joy in every bit of life when he was a child. Then he suddenly heard someone walking towards him, so he looked around and saw a rather old man with white hair and a large white beard. “Hey, you, what are you doing just standing there?” Said the old man. “I’m waiting for the sun to go down so I can jump off this bridge.” The man responded. “Why in this world would you jump off this bridge?” Said the old man in a very surprised voice. “So I can die.” Answered the man. The old man's face suddenly froze, his whole body froze. Then he started falling backwards to the ground, the man jumped down to catch him. The man then tried waking the old man up but didn’t succeed. That caused him to panic. He felt afraid for the old man's life, he felt that the old man’s life had a meaning and he had to protect it from death. In a blink of an eye, he took out his phone and called the ambulance. The ambulance was there in about two minutes, that to the man seemed like an eternity because he couldn’t stop worrying for the old man's life. When the ambulance arrived he helped the doctors put the old man inside and explained what happened. Then he took the ambulance to the hospital, completely forgetting that he wanted to jump off a bridge a moment ago. In the hospital, he waited for two complete hours, until the doctor came to tell him that the old man had a heart attack, but miraculously survived. This whole incident with the old man made the man realize how life is precious and is not to be wasted. From that day on he tried to be as happy and grateful for his life as he could and never thought about trying to kill himself again.
