Agonizing Deliberation

The tides of youth
Are washed away
By waves of wisdom
The veil of whom I used to be
Conceals my mind’s rectification
Frantically sought after love
No longer held
In former capacities
Is why
Broken pieces of my reflection
Lay covered in blood on the floor
