Lull

Lull

A Poem by H.W. Mudgett

His and her story begins where hers and mine ended
My eyes can’t stand the sight of the man who ruined it all
So I’ve shattered every mirror in our house
I won’t waste time comparing our love to the stars anymore
“Sometimes, there is nothing left to talk about.”

Sounds as though the speaker is angry but is also taking responsibility for the situation. The end of the poem indicates an acceptance that sometimes things don't work out. Apparently good lessons learned.
