Five and a Half Cups of Tea

Five and a Half Cups of Tea

Sweet whispers and sugar coated kisses fill the sky with tranquility,

Yet youre not there and neither is your masculinity,

The vibe pressing forward, leaves me with much to ponder,

Is everything the way it should? Did I give all I could?

Time is a monotonous form of energy, surging through the veins of you and me,

But the fuel that drives me to push on, changes course with the one of yours,

Im trapped in the middle of something good,

But, is everything going the way it should?

Whispers and kisses of invisible love,

Shadow the dream that could of

Been.

Distracted from everyday thought,

For the longest time its you I sought

To conquer and dominate, share my heart, but times pulls us apart,

From where we want to be,

A vision of you and me,

Walking along the sea,

You laughing, Me smoking a B,

Like Lucy and Ricky on TV,

All of course, except the g,

Im falling further from the light,

Far beyond reach,

And well out of sight.

Distraction number one takes priority,

Im sorry it took me this long to see.
