Mucus and Blood

Mucus and Blood

A Poem by Melaniespace

I am drowning,

Drowning in mucus and blood,

As if I am filled to the brim with love,

Swelling with heat,

over desire and defeat,

Replacing my sorrow with disease,

my disease with sorrow,

as if I’ll lose tomorrow,

warrants a seat with the moon,

while its radiance rains down,

engulfing this frown,

Now, folding me, free my release.
