Disingenuous

Disingenuous

A Poem by Ruminating Archaeologist
"

just looking over old stuff and thinking I'd write something new in companion since things have changed.

"
Hypocrisy is hard to get
settled down, hard to hold
your head up high, to let
yourself re-believe in yourself; cold,
you have to let yourself warm up.
Believe me when I say it's so difficult
to believe as if you have a full cup;
that in your life, all the time you took
destroying all the boundaries you set,
will just change your outlook
on life and the journey to get
to a better place.
It's so hard to get up again and again.
It's hard every time you lose, you lie to yourself you win.
