Surveyor

Surveyor

A Poem by Ruminating Archaeologist
"

sh, you'll find the life if you're not looking. I have a Ravenclaw tie now...

"

don’t let these painted sidewalks faze you

I’ve got a tie on

let me get it straight

let me taste the bittersweet

façade

the façade of these withered bricks

have held up well today

I feel small in this silk

hide papers in the folds

like we have secrets we’re dying to tell

calloused feet and blistered toes

let me hear the vibrating beneath my shoes

let me hear the music underneath my feet

can you feel me in these weak soles

got one more mile to go

treading water, digging holes
