Bent Query

Bent Query

A Poem by Ruminating Archaeologist
"

Thinking about when no one ever notices me, and how I don't fit in with my generation; how I want to prove myself. I'm pretty sure I'm known as the girl who barely talked. But why do I care?

"
lost in a sea of faces
don't want to be trapped between their ankles
smashed beneath their shoes
maybe I want to have a life worth living
something on which I can prove myself
and keep the hope I've been dreaming of
some kind of love I can hold on to
I know there is such a thing as this
but how to get it, that's what the question is
