The Hatchlings Of Humanity

The Hatchlings Of Humanity

A Poem by Ruminating Archaeologist
"

written September of last year :3 kind of was inspired by the hive queen from the Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card. If you havnt read it, I suggest you do so, it's my favorite book ^^

"
Furrowing lights cascade across open sky
Moonbeams and sunrays fracture the substantial peace
Simplicity quietly smiles her way from dusk to dawn

We are the flies on the wall of humanity
Watching, waiting, flowing, following,
Paths and lines and waves
The open mollusks sat and stared,
Pitying the frozen lies.
Three trees dug root in sodden soil.

We laughed and smiled.
We were not as complex.
We purely were.
