Wind Song Lose Song

It’s gone. The breeze that played music softly through the leaves has left. The final score is over. The last gasp of breath. The cool has left and in place of it is stifling stagnant air. The angel has returned back to where we lift our prayers.

The song is over. The moment that was has ended and left to move over for the next but how do we replace what was more valuable then what we have?

I guess we don’t. We immortalize what she gave us and relish in it because crying and weeping wont. But it helps. Everything in nature expresses itself when a love one lays lifeless and their spirits have left. The birds suddenly stop the song they sing, the whimpering of man’s best friend. The congregation of believers at church sing slow songs in grief. Moms that lose their sons too early cry out in disbelief. Because of love and because time was so brief. The branch loses strength and drops the browned leaf. The pain of the loss is long term but the hurt is brief.

But for now I feel it all. For we lost our voice. Though her stature wasn’t tall, she was a giant amongst and a mother to us all. Propelled by the voice of God and we will always have her words to keep us and dance amidst our dreams. There we will hear her song in the breeze. The voice of an angel is with God and her aged soul and spirit are now at ease.

You can still hear her if you listen to the wind breeze sing in the leaves of the trees.
