Mothers Hand

Mothers Hand

A Poem by Scoopy Reviews
"

From the Mother Land to the Mother's Land

"

What am I? What was I called when I lost touch of Mothers Hand.

Stolen and set adrift off to the new world of another land.

We forgot our native tongue.

Have only a clue of our origin and where our blood comes from.

What was my name? What’s in a name when we are generalized and called the same the same thing?

Sea sick not knowing what lies ahead. Sick that measles and small pox left some dead.

Where is my mother? I need her now.

I need her for comfort because I feel like the end is now.

Where are we going? Why are there chains for me? Give us back to our Momma and give us Us free.

So why, why do you hate me when it was you who stole me from where I’m supposed to be.

Why do you hit and spit and brutalize me when it as was you who came and utilized me.

Why oh why do you deem me lazy while I work and work so hard while you supervise me.

Why when I want the rights you have you scrutinize me.

Remember I was a child without a Momma but I grew to a man with a dream.

I will die and return to her and my cycle will complete.

She is the closest to her I will get. She is the mother of us all.

She was once a super continent. Her name Pangaea. She too was separated from our Mother. We aren’t the only ones.

So what am I and what I’m I called? I learned and I understand.

I’m a motherless orphan living in the land of foster children.
