The AbyssA Poem by Finvarraone of those dark moments wondering if love will ever comeThe Abyss by Robert Wise 1/28/2010 I feel myself trying to find the bottom of a blackened pool... darkness beckons with icy fingers dragging me to the depths of despair... from its grip can I make my escape or has this been my appointed fate... I float deeper into the abyss... .loves sweet kiss brings a bitter gall, never shall I know it's sweet honey... loves casts its lies of deception... passion shackled... eternities champion. The greatest lie is that love exists... love is a deception it tears the heart from the body. I shall embrace the darkness... let it wash over me... it is real unlike love. Macabre taunts of sweet desire rip tear’s from my heart. My one thing I desire the most escapes like sand through my fingers . The abyss darkens... the light is fading... fading into the darkness . Why did I ever try to embrace the light... light deceives, in darkness truth is told. I believed the lies of light... in the darkness my heart cries the night... another lie just told... embrace me, the long goodnight. © 2010 Finvarra |
