Ode to The Forgotten One

this is what some religious people may feel that we have forgotten religion in this poem it's christians who are giving their ode to christ who is now "forgotten".

Ode to the one who is forgotten
He once received love and praise. From us

Ode to his life
endless in mercy
due in affection and zeal. From us
asking for reserve and nobleness. In us

Ode to his body
that was ripped apart viciously
with little empathy
for his inner feelings. By us

Ode to the memories we had with him
where justice and liberty, prevailed?
Or the ones
that were as vague as a dream

Ode to his word

Everlasting in depth when we were in ignorance and sorrow

“Take no thought for the morrow”

He once said. Oh how we have strayed from the straight path

 

Ode to those of us who have tried
those who will never give up
the ones that will ascend the highest mount for him
for us life hasn't been easy.
