Lost

Lost

A Poem by Hannah

 I've looked everywhere

Between the cushion seats,

Under the bed,

Inside the drawers,

I feel lost without it

Like driving through a thick fog

Sometimes I get nervous,

And let the beads of sweat fill my palms

I've looked in the car,

Inside the kitchen cupboards

And under every table and chair

How can I go live without it?

I've worked so long to make it perfect

So no one will ever see....

So no one can see what lies beneath

I am naked without it, exposed.

for the world to see

for the world to see

If you find it let me know because I'm feeling awfully cold

Maybe I'll have to live without it..

At least for a little while...

Until I can make a new one

And ease my tense smile
