Elegance

Elegance

A Poem by Buddhistboy73

Elegance personified, we ease ourselves into a roadside bistro
Sunlight shrinking your hazel flecked pupils
Our souls interlacing thier tendrils
Reeling from this rushing ecstacy of nirvana

We exchange lace tinted glances whilst holding hands
Across a thousand mile divide, we still connect
For it's moments like these miracles happen
And to think it's only 3 weeks since we met

Yet like snow coloured swans we're forever mated
Joined together as one beneath azure framed skies
You order the steak - rare with iced water
And I slip inside you and concur

For this day has no beginning and no end
Two souls sowing their vision of hope
Writing their screenplay in droplets of love
On tissue thin paper blessed from above

wonderfully worded, this is exquisite. a beautiful portrait of the innocence and euphoria of a blossoming love. some of these lines are drop-dead gorgeous, but the last two lines are a poem of beauty all by themselves. outstanding!
