Porcelain

Porcelain

A Story by buddhas-buddha

She’s made of china, the little porcelain doll. Pale, lifeless, so frail and delicate. You may look at her, admire her beauty from afar, but you must not touch her; she may break into a thousand tiny pieces and become lost forever. But its the delicate things in life that need to be loved. Because who knows? Maybe if you touch her, hug her, she may come to life.

I have been reading through your work and getting acquainted with your style and your voice. I do not understand why I see no reviews here. I am stopping on this one to leave a footprint till I can return to review the others. This one speaks to me and is delicate itself. It is truly beautiful, I think. Reminds me for some reason, maybe the last line, of the Velveteen Rabbit - a favorite of mine. Nice work.
